Give your chickens a safe outdoor area with our secure run. This is designed to fit your large raised Nestera coop and provides 2 square metres of space (including the area under the coop). Each run extension increases the available space by 1 square metre.

Our run grants excellent protection, allowing your chickens to rise early and feed safely. It also provides an enclave while new birds familiarise themselves with the coop and environment. Keepers should ensure their flock have access to an additional area for the majority of the day. This should be of sufficient size to allow your chickens to display normal behaviours, whilst remaining protected from predators.

Add a 3.5ft Run Extension to increase your chickens' outdoor space to 10 feet.

Secure Chickens = Happy Chickens

Manufactured with ‘anti-chew' solid steel weld mesh with a durable PPA coating, our chicken coop runs include a wide mesh skirt around the entire perimeter, making tunnelling nearly impossible. Each run is painted dark green to blend into its surroundings.

Easy Access for You and Your Flock

Your chickens can come and go as they please with up to three separate openings provided on each run. A large lockable door is built into the steel mesh on the end panel, with hatches to the left and right under the rear of the raised coops which can be securely locked with their solid recycled plastic handle.

questions

frequently asked questions

  • Will the Run fit my coop?

Our 2m Run and 1m Run Extension are designed to fit securely to the Raised Large Coop only.

  • What size Run should I get for my chickens?

The size of Run you choose depends on the size of your flock, what breed of chicken they are and how much additional outdoor space they have for roaming free outside the Run. We always recommend allowing your chickens as much outdoor space as possible – whether that’s letting them free range in your garden or by using our 1m Run Extension, which offers a total of 3 metres of secure outdoor space.

  • What are the dimensions of the Run and Run Extension?

The 2m Run includes the space under the Raised Coop. Its dimensions are: Height: 956mm Width: 925mm Length: 1150mm The additional 1m Run Extension dimensions are: Height: 956mm Width: 925mm Length: 1150mm

  • Where is the door located on the Run and/or Run Extension?

There are three access points on the Run. The main door is on the end mesh panel and is secured with a sliding steel bolt. There are two additional hatches under the rear of the coop. These can be open and closed easily and are secured with dual fastenings made of strong and durable recycled plastic. These rear hatches are ideal for accessing the secure area under the coop to leave food and water.

  • How big is the door on the Run’s end panel?

The dimensions of the door on the end panel of the Run are: Height: 480mm Width: 400mm. The door is made from the same ‘anti-chew’ hot-dip galvanised steel weld mesh as the rest of the Run and can be secured shut with a sliding steel bolt.

  • Can I move my Coop with the Run attached?

Yes, you can! With using the coop with the Wheelset, moving your coop and Run is a quick and easy job that can be done by one or two people. Simply engage the Wheelset into the appropriate slots and move the Coop by lifting the Run’s end panel before pushing/pulling it into its new position.

  • Can I extend my coop’s Run further than 3 metres?

Sure! Once you have the 2m Run and 1m Run Extension installed, there’s nothing to stop you increasing the length of your Run by simply attaching additional 1m Run Extensions onto the end of it.

  • Can I leave the Run outside all year?

All the products we make are built to last. Our Runs are constructed from hot-dip galvanised steel weld mesh and have a durable PPA coating which means they can be left outside all year round in all weather conditions. All our Runs come with a 10-year anti-corrosion warranty to offer you further peace of mind.

  • Can chicks be kept in the Run?

We recommend waiting until your chicks are at least 6 weeks old before letting them play outside in the coop Run. When introducing chicks to the Run, it’s best to keep them separate from the rest of the flock for a week or so. This allows them time to familiarise themselves with the Run before interacting with the rest of the flock.

Easy to fit

Easy to follow instructions and easy to fit. I expected the fitting for securing the run sides/roof/skirt to be more sturdy than cable ties. Also there need to be more securing points along the coop to connect the run to the coop itself. Also if your floor is anything other than football pitch flat the skirt won’t sit level. I would have like to remove the door to secure to my larger run but wasn’t able to do this. Still a good product and I would buy again.

Good but could be better

Very well made and sturdy with the fox protection around the sides. Slight issue with the side pieces that are separate from the main cage and the wheels needed to sit on. This means the coop cannot easily be moved in one piece - a slight re-design would sort this out. The door could be doing with being a lot bigger and maybe on the side and not on the end because reaching in is difficult if you need to remove dropping/food etc. It is an ok size for our 3 chickens when we need to get them in while we cut the grass of something like that but would be overcrowded for the 15 which this coop is advertised as, you would definitely need the extra 1 meter extension for another £125
